THE RECIDIVISM RATE OF MEMBERS IN THE SELF-HELP ADDICTION PROGRAM WAS FOUND TO BE LOWER THAN IN A CONTROL GROUP OF NON-PARTICIPANT INMATES.
Abstract
THE PROJECT WAS MOST EFFECTIVE IN REDUCING RECIDIVISM AMONG THOSE PRISONERS WHO WERE NOT TOO DEEPLY INVOLVED IN DRUG USE OR CRIMINAL BEHAVIOR, AND LEAST EFFECTIVE WITH HEROIN USERS.
