GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS FOR A COMPUTER BASED INFORMATION SYSTEM SUPPORTING THE CRIMINAL CASE OPERATIONS OF THE MASSACHUSETTS SUPERIOR COURT.
Abstract
THE SYSTEM HAS BEEN DESIGNED TO PROVIDE COURT ORGANIZATIONS WITH OPERATIONAL SUPPORT, TO MAINTAIN CRIMINAL DOCKETS, TO PREPARE REPORTS TO COURT MANAGEMENT AND TO PROVIDE STATISTICAL SUMMARIES COVERING COURT OPERATIONS. TOGETHER WITH IMPLEMENTATION OF ACTIVE COURT MANAGEMENT, THE CCMS WILL RESULT IN IMPROVEMENTS IN CASE HANDLING AND COURT RESOURCE UTILIZATION. THE REPORT OUTLINES THE OBJECTIVES, USERS, OPERATIONS, AND FUNCTIONS OF THE SYSTEM, AS WELL AS SPECIFYING EQUIPMENT, PROGRAMS, AND IMPLEMENTATION PLANS.
