Abstract
FOLLOWING AN INTRODUCTION DESCRIBING THE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM AT THE BROOKLYN CENTER OF LONG ISLAND UNIVERSITY FOR INDIVIDUALS PAROLED FROM PRISON AND THE SELECTION OF PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS, THE AUTHOR PRESENTS INTERVIEWS WITH EACH INDIVIDUAL (MOST OF WHOM WERE DRUG OFFENDERS). THESE INTERVIEWS REVIEW EACH PARTICIPANT'S CRIMINAL HISTORY, PROGRESS IN THE PROGRAM, AND GOALS. THE CONCLUSION GIVES AN OVERALL SUMMARY OF THE OUTCOMES OF THE PAROLEES' EXPERIENCES.
