Abstract
THE ANTI-CRIME PROGRAM WAS DESIGNED BY LEAA TO DEMONSTRATE IN EIGHT LARGE CITIES THE EFFECTIVENESS OF COMPREHENSIVE CRIME-SPECIFIC PROGRAMS IN REDUCING STRANGER-TO-STRANGER CRIME AND BURGLARY. THIS DOCUMENT DESCRIBES A GENERAL PLAN FOR A NATIONAL LEVEL EVALUATION TO BE PERFORMED BY THE NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF LAW ENFORCEMENT AND CRIMINAL JUSTICE AND THE MITRE CORPORATION. (AUTHOR ABSTRACT)
