THE ARTICLE BRIEFLY DESCRIBES A TECHNIQUE DEVELOPED BY THE TOKYO METROPOLITAN POLICE DEPARTMENT CRIME LABORATORY TO MEASURE THE PSYCHOLOGICAL STRESS INVOLVED IN THE ACT OF WRITING. BASIC PROCEDURES INVOLVED IN THE AFOREMENTIONED METHODS ARE OUTLINED.
