A TRAINING COURSE FOR THE OHIO HIGHWAY PATROL INSTRUCTS OFFICERS IN THE USE AND MAINTENANCE OF BREATH TESTING EQUIPMENT.
Abstract
THE IMPETUS FOR THE PROGRAM CAME FROM THE PASSAGE OF AN 'IMPLIED CONSENT' LAW WHICH REQUIRES DRIVERS SUSPECTED OF DRINKING TO SUBMIT TO A CHEMICAL TEST. THE OHIO HIGHWAY PATROL CONDUCTED FOUR TIMES AS MANY BREATH TESTS AFTER THE PROGRAM WAS INSTITUTED.
