This document presents information about the Promising and Effective Practices Network (PEPNet), an effort by the National Youth Employment Coalition to identify and recognize effective practice among youth employment and development initiatives and to improve the network of youth-serving agencies in the United States.
Abstract
The publication contains background information about the development of PEPNet and its importance in strengthening youth employment/development initiatives on an individual basis and collectively as a network of youth-serving organizations. It contains a self-assessment that organizations can use in conjunction with an Application for PEPNet's award of national recognition as an effective program. The document also contains several resources useful to any organization planning to complete the Application or undertake the assessment process. The Acknowledgements include lists of individuals around the country who have been involved in the development of PEPNet. Appendixes, references
