Abstract
CONCERNED WITH THE BASIC ELEMENTS OF THE POLICE COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM, THE AUTHOR REVEALS THE EXTENT TO WHICH THE POLICE MAKE USE OF THE CONTRIBUTIONS OF COMMUNICATIONS ENGINEERING. THROUGH A STUDY OF THE OPERATING TIME INTERVAL, INCREASED POLICE EFFICIENCY AND STRIKING POWER COMBINE TO EXPEDITE THE APPREHENSION PROCESS. THE IMPACT OF THE COMPUTER UPON POLICE OPERATIONS, AND THE KEY POSITION OF BURGLARY AND HOLD-UP ALARM SYSTEMS IN THE POLICE COMMUNICATIONS COMPLEX ARE EMPHASIZED. THE POLICE COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM UNDER DISASTER CONDITIONS AND THE PRECAUTIONS THAT MUST BE TAKEN IN ADVANCE THROUGH PREDISASTER PLANNING ARE DEALT WITH. AUTHOR ABSTRACT
