Abstract
VARIOUS COURT DECISIONS REGARDING POLICE LEGAL LIMITATIONS ARE REVIEWED. NUMEROUS QUOTES ARE PROVIDED THROUGHOUT THE WORK IN ORDER TO AFFORD THE READER DIFFERENT AND CONTRASTING VIEWPOINTS. SEVERAL LISTS OF STATEMENTS FOR ANALYSIS AND DISCUSSION ARE INCLUDED. THE CHICAGO DEMONSTRATION IS STUDIED AND THE DEBATE OVER WHO WAS TO BLAME FOR THE OUTBREAKS OF FORCE AND VIOLENCE IS EXAMINED FROM BOTH SIDES.
