THIS STUDY SUPPORTS THE CONCLUSION THAT FOR THE ADOLESCENT, CAUCASIAN, MALE, FIRST OFFENDER, INCREASED INTENSITY OF PROBATION SUPERVISION WILL INCREASE THE PROBATION SUCCESS (BY REDUCING RECIDIVISM).
Abstract
THE EXPERIMENTAL GROUP OF PROBATION OFFICERS WERE ASSIGNED NO MORE THAN 30 CASES, WHILE THE MEAN NUMBER OF CASES SUPERVISED BY THE CONTROL GROUP WAS 61. THE EXPERIMENT WAS CARRIED OUT IN THE MONTGOMERY COUNTY JUVENILE COURT IN ROCKVILLE, MD.
