POLICE AGENCIES INCREASINGLY UTILIZE FULLY EQUIPPED MOBILE UNITS TO SERVE AS CRIME LABORATORIES AND COMMAND POSTS IN CONDUCTING ON-THE-SCENE INVESTIGATIONS.
Abstract
THE MOBILE UNIT UTILIZES RADIO EQUIPMENT WHICH PROVIDES INTRA-DEPARTMENTAL AND OUTSIDE RADIO CONTACT, AND EXTENSIVE FIELD TEST EQUIPMENT. THE MOBILE UNITS PRIMARY FUNCTION IS TO ENABLE TECHNICIANS TO FIND AND PROPERLY PRESERVE EVIDENCE FOR LABORATORY ANALYSIS.
