Abstract
A SCANNING ELECTRON MICROSCOPE WITH X-RAY ANALYSIS FACILITIES IS EVALUATED AND ITS ABILITY TO PROVIDE ANALYTICAL DATA AS WELL AS TOPOGRAPHICAL DETAILS IN A MINIMAL EXAMINATION TIME IS DEMONSTRATED.
