This paper focuses on a tool developed to meet specific needs or threats made by time and funds in the design, development, and selection of security systems for government or industrial sites.
Abstract
This tool is a standardized matrix keyed to threat levels and types, security types and coverage areas, and is designed to provide a logical approach to major system design while maintaining flexibility and growth capabilities to meet changing needs or threats. The Matrix Tool can provide the following results: logical systems design, standardized component selection, and capability and component tracking. The matrix approach provides an integrated system menu that can meet schedule and funding constraints as well as trade-off selections for specific security requirements. (Author abstract modified)
