This is the Active Psychoeducation Program Manual for the Science-based Treatment, Accountability, and Risk Reduction for Sexual Assault (STARRSA) Program.

Abstract

This Manual was developed for facilitators who are retained to work with students who are found to be responsible for sexual misconduct by Title IX officers as part of a student conduct sanction and referred for active psychological (AP) education. This is the final version of the Manual, released in Fall 2018, and incorporates feedback received from pilot sites and facilitators. The Manual presents an introduction to the STARRSA Program, including the STARRSA mission and philosophy, as well as program development, initiation, and administration. The introductory section of the Manual is followed by presentation of the 10 program modules and prescribed meeting formats. Seven appendices, presenting guidance for administrators in various materials and activities related to the modules, conclude the Manual.
