Abstract
Produced by the Arkansas Administrative Office of the Courts, this 2002 supplemental statistical report provides comprehensive data and information in three major judiciary areas: appellate courts, general jurisdiction courts, and limited jurisdiction courts. In addition, information is provided on judicial assignments, the public defender’s report, and the court interpreter’s program. In the area of appellate courts information is presented on the Supreme Court and the Court of Appeals covering the areas of caseload activity, petition activity, written opinions, disposition summary, and time study. In the area of general jurisdiction courts, information is presented in several areas which include: (1) map of Arkansas’ judicial districts; (2) circuit court caseload activity; (3) State case processing times; (4) total cases filed and total cases filed for all courts and filings per judge; (5) ranking of circuit courts by filings per judge; (6) circuit court disposition rates; (7) circuit court pending cases over 2 years old; (8) criminal caseload summary; (9) civil caseload summary; (10) domestic relations caseload summary; (11) probate caseload summary; and (12) juvenile caseload summary. Limited jurisdiction courts provide a statewide summary of both district and city courts, as well as district court and city court caseload summaries.
