Abstract
OTHER AREAS REVIEWED ARE JUVENILE COURT JURISDICTION, PROBATION DEPARTMENT DUTIES, AND THE JUVENILE COURT STATE CITIZENS ADVISORY COMMITTEE. STATISTICS INDICATE THAT IN 1972 THE NUMBER OF JUVENILES REFERRED TO JUVENILE COURT FOR DELINQUENCY, AND THE NUMBER OF DELINQUENT OFFENSES DECREASED. IN 1972 THE NUMBER ONE OFFENSE OF RUNAWAY WAS REPLACED BY SHOPLIFTING. INCLUDED ARE THE NAMES OF JUDGES BY DISTRICT, A LISTING OF JUVENILE COURT LOCATIONS, AND STATISTICS ON DELINQUENCY REFERRALS, JUVENILE OFFENSES, AND COURT COMMITMENTS TO THE STATE INDUSTRIAL SCHOOL. THIS DOCUMENT CONTAINS DATA ON THE SEX, FAMILY STRUCTURE, FINANCIAL STATUS, AND RELIGIOUS AFFILIATION OF DELINQUENTS. JUVENILE COURT AND ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICE STAFF ARE NOTED.
