DISCUSSION OF CONDITIONS CAUSING AGGRESSIVE ADOLESCENTS, BASIC ATTITUDES NECESSARY FOR COUNSELORS WORKING WITH AGGRESSIVES, AND THE SCHOOL'S RESPONSIBILITY FOR DEALING WITH THESE YOUTH.
Abstract
IT IS CONTENDED THAT FAILURE TO COPE WITH ONE OR MORE CRISES OF ADOLESCENCE RESULTS IN A VIOLENT PERSONALITY WHICH THEN BECOMES PART OF A SUBCULTURE OF VIOLENCE. GUIDELINES ARE GIVEN FOR COUNSELING SUCH YOUNGSTERS AND THE NEED FOR STREET-CORNER TEACHERS AND A MORE FLEXIBLE POLICY OF SCHOOL RE-ENTRY FOR YOUNGSTERS WHO RETURN HOME FROM TRAINING SCHOOLS AND PENITENTIARIES.
