Annotation

The Western Australia Police Department reports an upturn in major crimes for the year ending June 30, 1981, especially in drug offenses. The department has had particular success with its 33 Aboriginal police aides.

Abstract

This report describes police staff training, research, and public relations activities during the year along with major criminal investigations. The functions and accomplishments of general and specialized units within the department are reviewed, and data tables illustrate crime incidents during the year.
