Abstract
THE BOOK WAS DEVELOPED BY THE AUTHOR THROUGH ACTUAL EXPERIMENTAL USE IN THE COUNSELING CLASSES AT FOLSOM PRISON AND IS INTENDED FOR INMATES WITH AT LEAST AN EIGHTH GRADE LEVEL OF READING ACHIEVEMENT. INCLUDED FOR INMATE USE IS INFORMATION ON WAYS OF AVOIDING PRISON, GAINING SELF INSIGHT, WORK TOWARD IMPROVEMENT THROUGH GROUP COUNSELING, ADJUSTING TO PRISON LIFE, CAUSES OF CRIMINALITY, HUMAN TRAITS AND UNMET NEED AS THEY RELATE TO CRIME CAUSATION, LEVELS OF TREATMENT IN COUNSELING, AND WAYS OF BENEFITING FROM THE PRISON EXPERIENCE.
