Administration for Children and Families - Children's Bureau
As the oldest federal agency for children, the Children's Bureau within the Administration for Children and Families has primary responsibility for administering federal child welfare programs. The Children's Bureau seeks to provide for the safety, permanency, and well-being of children through leadership, support for necessary services, and productive partnerships.

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC): Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention
The CDC is moving the injury and violence prevention field toward primary prevention and early intervention by exploring ways to prevent child maltreatment before it occurs. To do this, the CDC focuses on research, capacity building, communication, and forming partnerships.

Changing Minds
Launched as part of the Department of Justice's Defending Childhood Initiative, the Changing Minds national campaign seeks to raise awareness, teach skills, and inspire public action to address children's exposure to violence and trauma.

Child Welfare Information Gateway
A service of the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, the Child Welfare Information Gateway provides access to information and resources to help protect children and strengthen families.

CrimeSolutions
The National Institute of Justice's CrimeSolutions website is meant to help practitioners and policymakers understand what works in justice-related programs and practices.

Family Resource Information, Education, and Network Development Service (FRIENDS)
FRIENDS provides training and technical assistance to federally funded Community-Based Child Abuse Prevention Programs and information to the general child abuse prevention community.

Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP)
OJJDP provides national leadership, coordination, and resources to prevent and respond to juvenile delinquency and victimization.

Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP): Model Programs Guide (MPG)
MPG contains information about evidence-based juvenile justice and youth prevention, intervention, and reentry programs. See the Abuse/Maltreatment/Neglect page for access to information about rated programs.

U.S. Department of Justice: Project Safe Childhood
Initiated in May 2006, Project Safe Childhood combines law enforcement efforts, community action, and public awareness to combat child exploitation.
