SAMPLE LESSON PLANS FOR KINDERGARTEN THROUGH 12TH GRADE BASED ON ONE OR MORE OF THE BEHAVIORAL OBJECTIVES ASSOCIATED WITH THE TOPICAL QUESTIONS INTO WHICH THE MATERIAL ON PARTICIPATION IS DIVIDED.
Abstract
THESE LESSON PLANS PROVIDE TEACHERS WITH SPECIFIC LESSONS ON EACH CONCEPT WHICH HAVE BEEN USED SUCCESSFULLY IN CLASSROOMS AT THEIR GRADE LEVEL AND WHICH THEY MAY USE IN THEIR OWN CLASSROOMS WITH SUITABLE MODIFICATION. THE LESSON PLANS ARE BASED UPON ONE OR MORE OF THE BEHAVIORAL OBJECTIVES OUTLINED UNDER EACH TOPICAL QUESTION AT EACH GRADE LEVEL BLOCK AS DESCRIBED IN THE 'CURRICULUM' FOR EACH CONCEPT. FOR EXAMPLE, A LESSON PLAN ON THE CONCEPT PARTICIPATION AT THE 10-12 LEVEL MIGHT BE BASED UPON TOPICAL QUESTION C, WHAT SHOULD BE THE SCOPE AND LIMITS OF PARTICIPATION? AND BEHAVIORAL OBJECTIVE 4, 'STUDENTS SHOULD BE ABLE TO IDENTIFY WHICH VALUES UNDERLIE THE WEIGHTING OF FACTORS IN CHOOSING WHO SHOULD PARTICIPATE'. ALSO PROVIDED ARE MODELS FOR DEVELOPING LESSON PLANS BASED ON THE 'CURRICULUM' (NCJ-12557). FOR THE OTHER VOLUMES ON THE CONCEPT OF PARTICIPATION, SEE NCJ-12557, AND 12558. FOR AN OVERVIEW OF THE LAW IN A FREE SOCIETY SERIES, SEE NCJ-12570. (AUTHOR ABSTRACT)
