This special issue discusses various topics related to violence and the media.
Abstract
Some of the article review the research on the effects of media violence, while other focus on specific aspects of media violence, particularly violence on television. Several authors describe issues relevant to the media in the United Kingdom, Norway, the U.S., Europe, and Japan. The articles are divided into three sections: the effects of the media, the social responsibility of the media, and regulation and practice.
