The National Alliance of Gang Investigators Associations (NAGIA) provides international leadership in developing and recommending strategies to prevent and control gang crime, establishing uniform gang definitions and assisting criminal justice professionals and the public to identifying emerging gang problems and gang crimes, and also provides input to policy makers and program administrators both within the United States and abroad. This NAGIA guide provides information on 16 violent street gangs: Bloods, Crips, MS13, Latin King, 18th Street, Surenos, Trinitarios, Neta, Nortenos, OMG, White Supremacist, Native American, Folk Nation, Asian Gangs, and People Nation. Information is provided on each gang, including such details as: history, membership/hierarchy, active locations, criminal activity, and gang identifiers (photographs of gang tattoos). A list of organizations who serve on the NAGIA advisory board is included.
