OREGON@S PLAN FOR CORRECTIONAL CHANGE THROUGH RESEARCH AND TRAINING.

Abstract

A GOAL OF RESEARCH AND PLANNING IN THE PROJECT WAS TO DETERMINE THE PRIORITY OF TRAINING NEEDS. THE METHODS USED TO DEVELOP TRAINING PLANS WERE - ANALYSIS OF EXISTING TRAINING PROGRAMS, JOB SPECIFICATIONS AND DESCRIPTIONS, PERSONNEL BACKGROUND (DEMOGRAPHIC), JOB PROBLEMS AND TRAINING SUGGESTIONS, TRAINING COMMITTEES, RESOURCE COMMITTEE, THE OREGON PENITENTIARY RIOT, AND CONSULTANTS. THE STUDY INCLUDES THE RESULTING TRAINING PLAN AND AN EVALUATION.
