Abstract
TOPICS COVERED INCLUDED THE REASONS FOR ATTEMPTED SUICIDE, THE AGE, SEX, AND RACE OF THE VICTIM, METHODS UTILIZED, TIME AND PLACE OF ATTEMPT, AND THE DISPOSITION OF THE CASES. THE AUTHORS CONCLUDE THAT MORE SOPHISTICATED RESEARCH NEEDS TO BE CARRIED OUT REGARDING THE AFFLUENT SUBURBAN YOUTH'S INVOLVEMENT IN OVERDOSING AND SUICIDE ATTEMPTS.
