A PERMANENT REPRESENTATIVE IN BELGIUM IS A SOCIAL WORKER WHO REPRESENTS THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM AND WORKS IN CLOSE COOPERATION WITH THE JUVENILE COURT IN DEALING WITH MALADJUSTED YOUNG PEOPLE AND THEIR FAMILIES.
Abstract
THE WORK OF THE PERMANENT REPRESENTATIVE IS DISCUSSED AND DESCRIBED IN GENERAL TERMS. COOPERATION BETWEEN THE PERMANENT REPRESENTATIVE AND THE POLICE IN DOING PREVENTIVE WORK WITH JUVENILES IS DISCUSSED. IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT THEY AVOID DUPLICATION OF EACH OTHER'S EFFORTS. -- IN DUTCH
