Abstract
THE HANDBOOK EXPLAINS HOW TO USE A FACTUAL, ACCURATE, LOW-KEY APPROACH IN ATTEMPTING TO GAIN PUBLIC SUPPORT IN THE FIGHT AGAINST DRUG ABUSE. EMPHASIS IS PLACED ON DISSEMINATING FACTUAL INFORMATION TO THE PUBLIC ON DRUGS AS A MEANS OF PREVENTION. THE PAMPHLET STRESSES OFFICERS NEED TO KNOW HIS AUDIENCE AND THEIR ATTITUDE PRIOR TO THE TALK AND GIVES HINTS THAT MAY BE USEFUL WITH VARIOUS AUDIENCES. TECHNIQUES OF PUBLIC SPEAKING COMPRISE A LARGE SECTION OF THE HANDBOOK. THREE TALKS ARE SUGGESTED THAT CAN BE GIVEN TO COMMUNITY GROUPS.
