THE METHOD DESCRIBED HAS ENABLED THE AUTHORS TO IDENTIFY HAPTOGLOBIN TYPES IN HUMAN BLOODSTAINS UP TO 4 MONTHS OLD EVEN IF THE SAMPLES ARE VERY SMALL AND DIFFUSE.
Abstract
THE AUTHORS EMPLOYED A MODIFICATION OF THE POLYACRYLAMIDE GEL GRADIENT METHOD. ANOTHER OF ITS BENEFITS IS THAT EACH BLOOD SAMPLE CAN BE PROCESSED FOR LESS THAN ONE DOLLAR.
