Abstract
TWO SISTERS ARE CAUGHT SHOPLIFTING, A YOUNG TRUANT IS CAUGHT, AND A JUNIOR-HIGH DRUG SALE IS HALTED IN PROGRESS. THE DISPOSITIONS SEEM TO REFLECT THE MESSAGE THAT REPEATED OFFENSES ARE DEALT WITH HARSHLY. THE TRUANT AND THE DRUG DEALER WERE COMMITTED TO THE YOUTH AUTHORITY WHILE THE FIRST-TIME SHOPLIFTERS WERE RELEASED.
