A comprehensive, well-organized budget will help you get the most out of your Tribal Victim Service Set-Aside (TVSSA) award and give you a better chance of early final budget approval.

During the presentation, TFMC financial specialists cover several important budgeting practices, including distinguishing between allowable and unallowable costs, writing your budget narrative to support project costs, estimating project costs and categorizing your budget, and navigating and understanding the Office of Justice Programs Budget Detail Worksheet used to complete your budget.

During this Open Forum, OVC TFMC financial specialists provided a comprehensive overview of the budget clearance process. Attendees engaged directly with our experts, who were available to answer questions and help navigate this crucial aspect of financial management.

This training will give you the tools to manage your grant's budget clearance efficiently and effectively.

This training session will define the purpose of financial monitoring reviews, provide an overview of the types of financial monitoring, including desk and on-site reviews, share elements of pre-site and on-site reviews, and identify the top ten monitoring findings.

In this training session, you will learn to locate allowable versus unallowable costs for each solicitation, determine if a cost is allowable or unallowable per cost category, assess whether a cost is reasonable, allocable, and necessary, and apply policies and procedures to ensure costs are consistently treated.
