This report presents qualitative perspectives on parent and family involvement in Tribal youth reentry programming among justice involved youth who participated in Green Reentry programs. Youth, parents, staff, and stakeholders identified: 1) the influence of various forms of parent involvement on youth well-being; 2) the role of other family members; 3) challenges to positive parent and family involvement; and 4) strategies for encouraging involvement. Findings suggest that offering whole-family programming and working to improve communication between parents and the youth-serving staff who work with their children could result in increased parent and family involvement and better outcomes for youth in Tribal communities.
