This newsletter issue provides an overview of the 2022 OJJDP Tribal Youth National Conference, where the Tribal Youth Resource Center Youth Ambassadors served as advisors, organizers, presenters, and panelists.

Abstract

This quarterly newsletter is created as a resource for all Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP)-funded tribal grantees and other interested communities. This issue provides updates on news, events, and other insights from the 2022 OJJDP Tribal Youth National Conference, “Together We Thrive.” The newsletter is comprised of several sections that highlight the various conference events and feature, including: Elder Spotlight, honoring Jim and Bonnie Clairmont; Agents for Change, about youth ambassadors; Youth Ambassador Spotlight, honoring Isabella Fridia; a preview of the next issue’s feature; information about the National Native Children’s Trauma Center; and other conference topics such as conservation efforts, helping marginalized parts of the population such as Two-Spirit individuals, wood carving, and mental health.
