Annotation

Many crimes against homosexual men and women are motivated by hatred and bigotry.

Abstract

Many white supremacist groups have targeted homosexuals for attack because of the AIDS connection. Crimes against them by these and other white supremacist groups are often extremely violent and brutal. Crimes against homosexuals resemble other crimes motivated by hatred and bigotry. Community tolerance of these crimes only escalate the violence.
