This report presents the achievements under a grant to the Illinois State Police for the purpose of reducing a backlog in DNA analysis.
Abstract
A total of 1,289 sexual assault kits were analyzed using funding from this grant program. Of these kits, 613 tested positive for semen and were submitted for analysis, and subsequently 35 of these cases were uploaded into CODIS.
